Hi Davey. I wanted to thank you for reading my comment about the "Watching Us" episode, and I wanted to thank Finn for his comment saying how I liked the videos and that I say encouraging remarks about Himeros. Then you agreed and said you loved the Himeros Community. Finn is correct, I do love the Himeros videos and the concepts behind them. And the feeling of love is mutual from me for how you help and educate our community. You provide very erotic videos for enjoyment, but there is an educational story behind each video. I also am so pleased that your videos encompass younger gay men, older gay men, handicapped gay men and even guys that aren't 100 percent gym specimens to showcase they are all human beings and should enjoy their sexual feelings. All the various types in the community deserve to have self confidence and know they are worthy of a great sex life to the best of their ability. You show them how to do this. The podcasts discussing each episode is phenomenal. If anything is not understood about the video this clarifies it. Not every video is going to please everyone. For example the video where the guy was tied to the fence. The biggest complaint was referring to Matthew Sheppard but I didn't even think about that until it was brought up. But I did not find it offensive, it just wasn't one of my favorite videos. Same thing with the episode with Milking Coach. The comment about it being fucked up. If he ever saw the Milking Coach he would realize he makes that "owning" statement all of the time. It has nothing to do with race, it is just part of his persona. I may over write when I am passionate about a subject but I do want you to know I love what you do for the community and I love hearing what Finn has to say. He seems so nice. And then there is Wayne, he is a cool guy who doesn't mind speaking his thoughts. He tickled me when he said he must be one chosen to disagree with some of the videos. He is a hoot, but a lovable hoot. Thank you Davey and guys, you are really appreciated.

This is day one for me as a member and I'm really excited about being a member. I've been a huge fan of Himeros videos that I've happened to catch on Pornhub and other places and I finally decided that I should just join. So far so good. I really like this podcast as well. I know often, after I get off I tend to gravitate to vlogs and things like that, so to have a podcast that directly discusses what I just watched seems ideal to me. I'm really excited about this site and also that this site isn't just some skeazy porn site, but has a community feel to it. I'm excited to hear that you guys are launching groups. I think that's a fantastic idea and I'd love to connect with other members of the site. Since I'm so new to this site, I'm not going to jump onboard and sign up to be a facilitator, as much as I think I'd like that. I tend to get over excited about new things and bite off more than I can chew and I made a promise to myself a few years back to give things a few months before committing to it in that kind of way. It may be something that I will consider in the future if the opportunity is still available.

I do also want to comment on the idea of sex addiction. I think sex addiction can be a real thing but I think we have to be careful as to what we call sex addiction because a lot of it can just be ascribed to strong sexual urges and high libidos that are perfectly natural but shamed by society. The sex addiction industry can be very Christian and shaming in nature and hurts a lot more than helps. But I would absolutely agree that Wayne's friend truly had a sex addiction based on his description. I think when it gets to that level of extreme behavior you need to treat both the way the behavior manifests and the underlying causes.
Again, you have to be very careful what you call sex addiction because all of the social shame and stigma around sex and high libidos and I think that a lot of what gets called sex addiction by Christians and "therapists" who specialize in that are just natural sexual urges that get pathologized and "treating" it instead causes so much harm to that individual for something that is actually just natural, so of course they're not going to be able to control those urges.
It's like eating disorders. Eating and hunger are natural functions of the body but disordered eating is a real problem and is kind of an addiction around food. Over eating, under eating, stress eating, intermittent fasting, crash dieting, binging, purging, and constantly obsessing and over thinking about what you're eating are all forms of eating disorder and it becomes a problem when you start doing damage to your body or its affecting your relationships with others and the world around you in a very negative way.
I think sex addiction can be very much the same way, but like eating disordered, you can't have a pure AA style abstinence approach to sex because it's a natural function that your body craves. It should come down to a lot of CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) to help you cope with the impulses and intrusive thoughts.
